Rebekah Phillips, LPC

Rebekah Phillips is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She received her master’s degree from Thomas Jefferson University’s Community and Trauma Counseling program in 2020.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in 2006.  Rebekah has experience working with clients to address a variety of mental health needs related to trauma, depression, anxiety, community violence and relational concerns.  Her approach to counseling centers around her clients’ goals for improving their quality of life as they adapt and heal from mental illness and trauma.  Rebekah is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has experience with a variety of other modalities to meet her client’s needs, developmental stages and preferences.  She incorporates grounding and relaxation exercises, playful and creative expression, as well as cognitive and relational techniques.  Rebekah recognizes that community and societal issues and injustices can have a significant impact on the lives and mental health of clients.  She values the wisdom and knowledge that clients bring from their unique life experiences and cultural backgrounds and aims to provide a welcoming space for all.   She is comfortable working with clients ages 10 and up.
