Miriam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology from Earlham College in 1991 and continued to earn her Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. Miriam has many years of experience working in outpatient and residential settings with people living with mental health disorders, trauma, substance use disorders and other addictions. She is comfortable working primarily with older teenagers through senior citizens and has a particular interest in grief/loss, LGBTQ+ and special needs communities. Miriam focuses on the strengths of each client while combining CBT, narrative and humanistic approaches. She believes in every person’s capacity and ability to grow and make constructive and tangible changes.
