Jennifer Breslin, PsyD

Dr. Breslin is a licensed psychologist who is passionate about helping children and adults overcome challenges and achieve their personal goals. Over the course of her academic and vocational career, Dr. Breslin has worked with children and adults with a variety of comorbid developmental, medical, behavioral, and psychiatric concerns in variety of treatment settings. Dr. Breslin specializes in neuropsychology, focusing on assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation for individuals across the lifespan. Her clinical approach also combines evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive remediation, behavior analysis, and trauma-informed care, to help clients achieve measurable progress and improve their quality of life.

 Dr. Breslin also has extensive academic and clinical training. She graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University in 2015. During her doctoral degree, Dr. Breslin completed clinical training at Bancroft NeuroRehab and Rutgers University’s Student Health Center. She next completed a fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa Florida, and received specialized training on four clinical rotations, including: pediatric neuropsychology, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and trauma.  Prior to attaining her doctoral degree, Dr. Breslin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2004. In 2006, she also completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Florida. During this Master’s Degree program, she gained hands-on experience through clinical training at: The Child Guidance Center, the Department of Juvenile Justice, Gateway Community Services, and Foundation Academy. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Breslin also actively participated in research, and was a research assistant for several studies on post-traumatic growth, social comparisons, and emotional awareness. Additionally, Dr. Breslin personally completed a doctoral dissertation entitled a “Case Study of Diagnostic and Treatment Complexities in Repeat Blast Injuries”.

Dr. Breslin additionally has extensive vocational experience in the assessment and treatment of comorbid neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions. Specifically, at the start of her career, she was employed as a behavior therapist at Shorehaven Inc. from 2006-2012. While employed at this private school and residential program, she provided individual and group counseling to children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other comorbid medical conditions. She additionally supervised the educational and residential staff on  the implementation of behavior protocols and data collection. She also provided crisis intervention services as needed. Next, she was employed as a lead clinician within the wrap-around program at Elwyn Inc. from 2012 to 2014. At this agency, she provided individual therapy, family counseling, and behavior assessment services to children with developmental disabilities and other psychiatric conditions. Treatment interventions specifically included: conducting functional behavior assessments, development of positive behavior support plans, utilization of applied behavior analysis, and, or rendering cognitive behavior therapy. While employed at this agency, she also taught parents and teachers effective behavioral interventions to promote skills generalization across settings. Since the completion of her doctoral fellowship in 2016, Dr. Breslin has been employed as a neuropsychologist at MG Therapeutic Services, where she provides comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological care for children and adults. Her responsibilities include completing/rendering: psychological evaluations,  pediatric and adult neuropsychological assessments, court-ordered forensic evaluations, independent educational evaluations, functional behavior assessments, individual therapy, and cognitive remediation.
